Features
JISHOP is an electronic dictionary designed for Microsoft Windows to provide
comprehensive information about 6355 Japanese characters from the computer set
JIS X 0208-1990. The look-up system used in JISHOP provides multi-radical
search based on the scrollable table of 631 radicals.
To make navigation through the table simple and quick, the options of highlighting and compression are provided.

JISHOP also contains a phonetic dictionary. It stores
compound words used in kanji dictionary entries, to illustrate
the usage of characters. The phonetic dictionary can be also used independently
to find compounds by their kanji writing, reading or
meaning.

Other features:
At the present moment, the database of JISHOP
is not yet completed. Only 4300 entries of 6355 are edited. However, these
4300 entries cover all the characters from the official "Joyo kanji" list
(Kanji for daily use) and 2355 characters outside this list. Filling up the
database is now the first priority in the further development of the project
(see plans).
